Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} WorlO/GR. {George Ratcliffe} 16.11.32. Re: Car for R. {Sir Henry Royce} Thank you for your Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 5/E14.11.32. We are very pleased to know that you are going to let R. {Sir Henry Royce} have 20-G-4 as soon as possible. We have discussed the question as to what R. {Sir Henry Royce} really wishes to have, and we are positive that it will be necessary to let him have a "Peregrine" in addition to 20-G-4. He has never been really satisfied with merely having a car that is in produc-tion - he always wants the latest experimental car, and we further believe that it is essential he should have the same. We know your difficulties and appreciate them, but we do suggest that you should promise that early next year we can, and will have, "Peregrine" No.5. ready for him, fitted with a suitable body. This, I am sure, would give him "his heart's desire". WHr. {Mr Wheeler} | ||
