P.A. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. PHC. X5230 BY.10/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 26.8.31. RECEIVED 27 AUG 1931 JAPAN 1. N. SCH. 3287. RE EXHAUST SILENCER We notice that you are supporting the silencer in the above scheme from the cross member at the back of the gearbox. We wonder if you have overlooked the fact that this cross member has to be swivelled back in order to remove the gearbox, and that this being the case it will mean that we shall have to drop the silencer and the heat shield in order to do this. We have issued the details to the Experimental Dept. in accordance with your drawing, but thought it desirable to draw attention to the above disability. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
