You will notice the idea is exactly the same as using an exhaust pipe gradually increasing in diameter. I have written to Mr. Anderson thanking him for his letter, telling him to communicate with you, and if he has a silencer which he wishes us to test, we shall be very pleased to do so, and that the space at his disposal is about 6" dia. by 40" long.
