CONTD:- CARBURATION. Four special Rolls-Royce Claudel-Hobson type carburettors are fitted, each supplying three cylinders through a water-heated induction pipe. A mixture regulator is fitted, operable from the pilot's seat, to suit varying altitudes. OIL PIPE CONNECTIONS. The size of the oil pipe from the tank to the pump and from the pump to the tank is .750 out: dia; 20 S.W.G. PETROL CONNECTIONS. The pipe from the main petrol inlet connection is .437 outside diameter. PRIMING CONNECTIONS. The priming pipe on the "Falcon" engine is .187 outside diameter. WATER CONNECTIONS. The top water connection pipe to radiator (with corrugated ends for rubber connection) is 1.250 outside diameter. HAND STARTER. No Hand Starter is fitted, but can be supplied if desired. | ||
