Re Double Rear Brakes. X.2

By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 27-8-13.

Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} The following is an extract from
Na.{Mr Nadin}c Mr Royce's memo R3/P21813 :-

"The work can be pushed forward with all
"possible speed but to my mind there is
"very little to do. It is not imperative
"that the hand adjustment should be fitted
"because when correctly adjusted the
"footbrake remains in position quite a
"long time and the adjustment on the rear
"axle is both convenient and fairly quick.
"Before the cars are issued instructions
"should be given for this adjustment."
