Re :- Lucas Foot Switch, (ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG.3-10-30.)
We have examined the Switch and find that it is exactly the same as the one already in the possession of the Experimental Department, and it has points about it which we do not like; i.e. the "push-pull" method of contact never remains a sound job, and secondly the amount of area in contact is very very small and with the design, only requires slight errors to have no contact whatsoever.
The Switch varies very little from the first experimental one, and Sir Henry Royce has the design of a suitable Switch in hand.
BY/RD.
We have now arranged in conversation with Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} that all non-standard electrical items received come to us, as they should do. E.T.C.
