We have loaned to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} this car for the last two or three days in order to obtain his opinion. We also proposed to get Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s report on this car. We should like to know whether and when you would like this car in London for other officials to try. With regard to the complaint of over-heating. We are going into this matter. The tests so far shew that the SS.{S. Smith} is equal to the Phantom in xxxxxx this respect.
