The stiffness of front springs on a new axle pad and its effect on riding.

We found that our front springs on the new axle pad were in some cases stiffened 13%.

We made a set of springs which actually had R.{Sir Henry Royce}'s low limit of 30% stiffness when clamped to the axle.

The difference in riding with these springs as compared with springs giving 32½% stiffness, was most noticeable.
