X4079 I understand you have a Redmonite coil which is satisfactory as regards insulation with the bakelite type of case. I believe the design committee have suggested that this should be carried higher and higher in temperature so as to get a final breakdown comparison with stabalite. Personally I feel very shy at using bakelite for this coil case and will only do so after very careful experiments, as the fault is so elusive and dangerous. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
