We have the following reports of the cars now running in France:- WRAITH We asked Waller to inspect the Wraith after the mileage it has done, in order to see if there were any serious weaknesses. This was to enable a provisional specification to be issued to the Works. A telegraphic reply was received as follows- WRAITH BOTTOM TAPPETS GOOD STOP NO SERIOUS CHASSIS WEAKNESSES APPARENT. WALLER. P.III. We have had a telephone message to say that the P.III. connecting rod bearings appear to be breaking up. As most of the pieces in which we are interested have done 15,000 miles it is not worthwhile replacing the bearings in France and the car will return to England within the next few days.
