BJ/S17-7-20 brought up at yesterday's conference and again this morning, as the conference at yesterday's meeting did not agree with the wording of the solicitors' letters re bove. The whole correspondence has been put in front of D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} and will be brought up again at the conference to be held on Monday, the 26th inst. (3) OBSOLETE STORES AND SCRAP. Arising out of the conference held at the Midland Hotel, Derby, on 16/6/20 the question of the bove was raised. The conference were of the opinion that there should be only two stores in the Works, (a) for production purposes, and (b) for repair purposes, and that any other articles which the above stores could not make use of should be sent to what the conference termed 'the Stores Clearing House.' It was the opinion of the conference that a report on any stores which have been in either the production stores or the repair stores and have not been made use of for six months should be sent to this Clearing House Stores (or Wore) and also that any material becoming obsolete, owing to improved design, should be sent to these Stores. In fact any articles which are not actually being used for production or repair purposes should be sent there. It was also the opinion of the conference that a technical committee of the conference should visit these stores whenever the occasion becomes necessary (perhaps once a week) | ||
