We have been investigating the complaint made by G.W. Hancock that the last few gallons of petrol in the 33-gallon tank cannot be drawn out by the petrol pump. We have placed the tank in different positions to reproduce gradient and road camber conditions, and the attached list shows the amount of petrol left in the tank under the various conditions. This calls for a modification to the bottom of the tank. We also give figures for the 28-gallon Tank. and the Bentley tank. Ha/C.M.Whyman. | ||
