We hand you herewith LOP. DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1936 - Petrol Pumps, for the above two chassis. This replaces the Petrol Pump to LOP. DW.646 for all cars yet to be built. The new pump incorporates the standard S.U. pump body, Neoprene diaphragm, a Tufnol bush for the spindle, and filter gauzes inside the body. No air bottles are fitted. The rubber mounting is to S.CD.569, and the mounting pieces are included on the above LOP. The new details are :- DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1931 - Surface Plate. 2 off. DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1943 - Neoprene Diaphragm Assembly. 2 off. The LOP. is arranged such that the pump is finally assembled by Bentley Motors Ltd., as is our present practice. Will Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems} please obtain from the S.U. Co., reference numbers for the pump body, the bottom plug and its joint washer, and the gauze filter. This completes the instructions. BY/RD. | ||
