COPY. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} From Ha/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Ha/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}9/MJ.22.7.31. QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS. CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS P.1 & 20 HP. We have several modified types of exhaust manifolds suitable for 20 HP. cars and cast iron head P.1, the object of which is to overcome the cracking trouble which is at present very prevalent. Owing to the fact that we have no experimental cars or engines of these particular vintages here at the Works, we are not able to test out these modifications. Have you any cars running about on which they could be usefully fitted, or perhaps you could arrange to fit them on some customers cars with whom you can keep in touch so that we can obtain some reliable information as to the value of the modifications. We should prefer that they are fitted to cars which are known to do a good deal of fast running. The chassis to which the modified manifolds can be fitted are :- 20 HP. Series A.{Mr Adams} to K.{Mr Kilner} P.1 (All C.I. Head) V.{VIENNA} to E.2 Series. If you can arrange to do this we will send the parts over to you. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.J.Lidsey. | ||
