For the attention of Mr. A.E. Palmer.
Dear Sirs,
With reference to our print Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}467, we had a talk with your Mr. Fisher who advised us to keep the air bleed on the top of the low speed jet tube as small as possible consistent with reasonable control.
This we have finally decided to be 60# and not 54# as stated on the print.
Will you please make a note of this.
We give below a complete list of modifications to the Stromberg D.O.42 carburettor for the first 100.
(1) Control levers modified to Ew.1098 incorporating E.60626 ball end for the throttle lever.
(2) .113 floatchamber needle seating replaces .130".
(4) .156" diameter main feed hole replaces .106".
(4) Leather accelerator pump piston (strengthened type) replaces brass one.
(5) Main metering jet .060 replaces .063.
