1766 To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Copy for J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 27th January, 1916. M14/EG27116. Re 250 HP. Engine. Drill Jig for Connecting Rod Cap. E.6515. We enclose herewith print H.27113 showing the jig for drilling the .315 clearance holes in Conn. Rod Cap. These holes are used for the turning and boring operation. The jig consists of two main parts, a bush plate to which is secured the cap to be drilled, and a frame-work on which this plate is rested. Before the drilling operation the joint face of the cap has been milled and in between the locating lips. We locate off this machining, and by two equalising levers. The drilling is to be done under the Multiple Spindle Machine. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} | ||
