Test for noisy valves caused by cylinder head distortion.

| To H.S. X8060 21/5/28 Re noisy valves due to distortion of cylinder heads after completion. To obtain information on the above, we have arranged with Mr Bailey to have two heads heat treated when completed up to the stage of final bedding of valve seats. The valve seats to be finally trued up after the treatment. The heads then to be handed over to us for test, to observe whether the seats remain concentric to the valve guides. JHH. | ||
