Re Spraying Device.

We have now finished the designs for the spraying device in accordance with Mr Hives' scheme. The pieces are sufficiently robust for it to become a standard fitting as soon as it has been tested to see whether it will fulfil its object. We have come to the conclusion that a 3/16" bronze ball will make the best valve for the purpose, and the pieces have been very carefully arranged, including a little gauze filter to prevent any grit getting to the ball valve.

It will be necessary to alter the float feeds for the simplest form of fitting, but we have also shown an additional small casting that can be secured to the float feed by the fitter who goes to fit this device to any existing car. He would require a small hand Swedish blow lamp for the necessary soldering, a hand drill and a tap for working on the float feed. Other tools for the induction pipe and dashboard should be made into a list to accompany the instructions when setting out for such a conversion.

We regret to say we have not had time previously to make permanent designs for this fitting. It should be
