To improve reliability. Experimental Test Report. The present bearings are half solid whitemetal and half bronze shells. It is proposed to use steel shells all round. These are standard on aero engines. Road Test Report. Run 12,000 miles on 10-G-111. Run 3,000 miles on 9-G-111. Run 8,500 miles on 11.G.111.
