Mr Royce 9-12-12 TBB10/L91212 I send you herewith 2 prints of Mr Spinney's design to your suggestion concerning ventilators for scuttle dash and special operating mechanism. You will notice that the rods forming the tube ends are unnecessarily long. I understand from Mr Spinney that this is a semi standard design, and the length between the tubes and the ball and socket joint can be considerably reduced. This scheme is arranged in accordance with your sketches, but I believe Mr Johnson said it would be preferable to keep the dashboard clear if possible, and I should like to suggest that it might be possible to operate these doors from under the floorboards by extending the hinge pins | ||
