We have not issued instructions for the rear brake equaliser for the semi-floating rear axle because the type of equaliser mounting has been uncertain. We now send FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}215, shewing the 'walking stick' type of equaliser mounting as schemed/S.CD.580, adapted to the semi- /on floating axle. A new bracket for securing to the axle tube is needed, and the suspension link is modified. We also shew a modified length of operating lever as called for on G.CD.616. Referring to the point raised on HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}9/VS.{J. Vickers}13.6.38, we consider the bolts should be riveted up, as the bracket should never be removed from the axle tube and have so shewn them. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
