Dear Mr. Robotham:

In reply to your letter of Aug 14th (#s/Am. 8/Mg.) I wish to thank you for obtaining the high comp. head for my 3 1/2 Bentley. As you know, I drove both the 4 1/4 and the 3 1/2, and was disappointed in the acceleration. I may have been looking for too much. I think the new head will do the trick.

As I am not leaving here until Sunday morning Sept 13th, I hope you can come over and try my Cadillac and shoot with us. Just give me a ring when you can or wish to come, please. I hope to get the Bentley by Sept. 1st so I can learn something about it before I take it home. I do a lot of the work on my car myself, as it is a hobby of mine. I have a few questions to ask, so here goes:

Re Special Head

① Are special gaskets used with this head? If so, will you put three spares in with the plate and other spare parts.

② Are the valve clearances still .004 & .006 with this head? If not, please give me the correct ones. The car won't be driven fast over long stretches, but the acceleration is all important & any special valve timing?

③ What about the valve springs? Are they stiffer? If so, please
