Sr/VAIO/ET.27.5.36 - 2 - In addition to an oil seal, could not some form of baffle and oil thrower be incorporated from a safety point of view? We realise that an oil thrower and baffle, external of the gear or differential casing, would probably be a problem, owing to the necessity of an oil return hole. When examining the oil seal removed from this car, you will observe that the leather seal has worn down to the circular retaining spring. As you are aware, if a faulty seal is not detected in time, the result may be a seizure of the gears, which has already happened to two or three chassis. Front Sr/VA. vf Plates 1531 Roller 1731 | ||
