File Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML. 24th. Feb: 1940. A.C.Cossor.Ltd., Cossor House, Highbury Grove, London.N.5. Dear Sirs, We were surprised at the tone of your letter of the 21st. inst. ref: 34/EC/DD. More particularly in view of the fact that we have placed an order for the article in question. We do agree that the instrument was, without our knowledge, held up for a few days and for which we apologised over the 'phone. Your statement that we retained the instrument two weeks is an exaggeration; we received the instrument on the 8th. February and you received it back again on the 17th. February. It is rather surprising that a firm of your repute should expect anyone to buy an expensive instrument without first proving it's suitability for the job. Yours faithfully, | ||
