ROVER PROGRESS.

The remarkable change-round in the affairs of the
Rover Co., motor-car manufacturers, in the last seven years
is carried a stage further by the publication of the
financial results for the year to July 31 last.

Here are the figures since 1931:-

Trading Trading Net Total
Profit Loss Profit Loss
£ £ £ £
1931 43,400 --- --- 77,530
1932 --- 95,983 --- 225,413
1933 46,844 --- 7,511 ---
1934 133,405 --- 94,439 ---
1935 210,999 --- 152,910 ---
1936 212,756 --- 165,282 ---
1937 299,224 --- 200,921 ---

Increasing demand for the company's products has
necessitated the steady development of manufacturing facilities.
But the directors are continuing the policy of concentrating
on the production of cars of the highest quality.

For the new season it has not been found necessary
to alter the range of models. The number of orders on the
books constitutes a record in the company's history.
