FILE GM10629GC. 10th June, 1929. F.H. Royce Esq., "ElmsteadHenry Royce's home in West Wittering", West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, NR. CHICHESTER. Dear Mr. Royce, Re Messrs. Merz & McLellan. In reply to your letter of the 4th inst., I had an interview with Mr. Sayers of Messrs. Merz & McLellan on Thursday last the 6th inst., before returning home and I am pleased to be able to inform you that the repaired motor was returned to customers on June 5th. I believe that I have satisfactorily disposed of the matter and Mr. Sayers is to see the Westinghouse Brake & Saxby Signal Co., tomorrow, Tuesday the 11th inst., and if they require one of the Motor Makers men to attend at Chippenham they will be prepared to pay the cost of the man's travelling expenses and time which he spends on the job. With regard to the Motor Repairs I have told Messrs. Merz & McLellan that we shall not make any charge for the repairs to the motor, and since my return I have persuaded Messrs. Harding Churton & Co., to carry out this repair free of charge to us and our customers. Yours faithfully, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF ROYCE LIMITED, Bentley GENERAL MANAGER B/ESm. | ||
