mechanism rectified.

22nd November. Check on noisy second gear.

The following features I am still not happy about on this car :-

1). Continual 'pinking'. I do feel that the old type ignition lever might overcome this.(Can this be fitted)

2). The maximum speed of the car is a difficult 90. On most occasions I can only get 85.

3). The springing is rather too light for my driving.

4). The bonnet rattles.

The brakes, clutch and steering are however very nice indeed.

My suggestion to you is, if you can arrange it, for me to run the car until it has covered approximately 10,000 miles, (towards the beginning of the new year) and for you to have the car down, when you could probably gain some useful data at that mileage. If further modifications can be carried out at that date I would be only too happy to test and report on them.

I would be glad if you could increase the speed as the roads in the country near my home are quite safe on which to do 100 m.p.h. if only the car will do it.

Would you be kind enough to consider my suggestions and let me have your views.

Yours sincerely,
Jack Barclay
