340. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std3/R.22.3.37. SILTING UP OF P.III RADIATORS. In connection with the above trouble, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} wishes to know the exact cost of correcting a deficient Mark V matrix on a P.III car. This entails removing the radiator from the car, removing the matrix unit from the radiator, unsoldering the bottom tank, opening out the waterways by means of wooden wedges, re-soldering the bottom tank to the matrix and re-building and fitting the radiator to the car. We should like to know the cost of carrying this out, together with the exact number of P.III chassis built with Mark V matrices fitted (as requested verbally from Mr. Wragg) as soon as possible - Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would like these figures for to-morrow's Conference, if possible.
