Dear Sirs,

9.B.V. CAR - FITTING OF BONNET.

While this car is at your Works for the fitting of the body, it will be necessary to fit up the bonnet which is not of our previous orthodox type, but has top plates separate from detachable side plates and which is supported at the rear end by the body and not by the dash as formerly. We propose to send a fitter down to your works to carry out this operation, and would like you to advise when the car is likely to have reached a state when this can be done.

It will be necessary for various fittings to be spot welded to the bonnet after it is fitted, and we should like you to arrange for facilities for this to be done, either at your Works or elsewhere. We shall mention this arrangement to the fitter who is sent on the job.

We also wish the top plates and side plates of the bonnet to be anti-rust treated after fitting, and would like you to do this by means of your Deoxidine treatment before painting. The whole of the plates, attached fittings and hinge should be treated in this manner.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

RMHarvey Bailey

CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS.
