Re this matter with which you have already dealt, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} states:-

"Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} has shown me this correspondence because it is a case where an order has been definitely lost due to brake shudder.

"The number of the chassis is B.162.AH and was delivered last May.

"In Mr. Rippon's last letter he says that quite recently he loaned the car to a prospective customer who, when taking it down his drive, heard the noise so badly that he was so scared he took it back to the garage and the lady who was in the car asked to be allowed to get out.

"Having had this shudder noise myself I can quite understand it.

"I gather that it is the noise after the car has been washed and before the brakes are thoroughly dry, and I am wondering whether this car delivered last May has the latest material such as we fitted to Mr. Payton's car."

Will you kindly let me have your further remarks.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
