X.3727. - RADIATORS MADE BY R-R.{Sir Henry Royce} We have had a case of leakage in the first radiator made by R-R.{Sir Henry Royce} We have found that the leak is due to a split in the tube. The tube is one of the "D" type ones which form the edge of the matrix. The tubes were not tested before they were built up into the matrix; we relied on the makers test. It appears, however, that to obtain the maximum reliability whenever we start to produce radiators, we must test each individual tube before it is built up into the matrix.
