Dear Martindale,

Thank you for your recommendations regard-
ing the brake arrangement for small car. We have now decided that it shall be a 12 horse power at the largest, and, therefore, I believe that your brake drums are unnecessarily generous. However, we will reduce them in size if we find it is possible.

I am glad to hear that you are not likely to be sent out to France for a short time. We are expecting some excitement at the Works now that the War has begun in earnest.
