To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /8400 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M27.4.27. WHEEL CARRIER AT REAR. X.8600 X.8400 We send herewith N.sch.2402 shewing a modification to the combined wheel carrier and luggage grid at rear to overcome a defect experienced by R.{Sir Henry Royce} in France, the wheel having a marked tendency to climb up the plate. As this will affect the proposed standardisation of this carrier we suggest that the modification should be carried out on an existing carrier as quickly as possible. We understand that at the first convenient opportunity it should be fitted to R's car - 7-EX. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
