Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 21st.inst.

We have examined your drawing of a rear five plate spring weighing 63 lbs., which we return herewith, and consider that this shall be what we want.

The clip position is also satisfactory.

With regard to the front springs, we should like to try the five plate spring, details of which were passed over the phone and which are .36 Main Plate. .35 other four plates. Total thickness 1.76". Clip centres 35" and 15½".

We are somewhat concerned to note that you are unable to promise delivery in under four weeks. We should like to know if there is any possibility of you improving on this date.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
