We have gone over the unchecked proofs of the above, and the following are our remarks and recommendations :-

" 17. Propellor Shaft. Fitted with (grease).

" 18. Turning circles. Wrong figures given. 39 ft. L.H., 42 ft. R.H. Further figures.

" 19) Starting the engine. The sentence "An
20) appreciable pause should be made" etc. should follow the sentence "Before mentioning the small red lamp, etc.

" 21. With a cold engine the hand throttle lever should be opened one third notches of the quadrant, but when warm 4 to 5 notches.
Difficult starting, etc. should be deleted.

" 22. Under normal running conditions the hand throttle control, etc.

" 24. 4,500 r.p.m. with the object of warning the driver that the engine is attaining a maximum permissible speed.

" 26. Radiator Shutters etc.
The complete sentence re the Thermostat and temperatures to be deleted.

" 29. Rear Axle.
The question of oils has yet to be settled. Hydraulic dampers. Not to be tied down to Wakefields.

" 31. Crankcase. Replenishment of oil to be deleted. Draining of Radiator to be deleted. Dashboard Petrol Filter. Cleaning etc. to be deleted at 1000 miles.
