1328. EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}6/JH. April. 21st. March, 1939. The British Thermostat Co.Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr. K.M. Petter. Dear Sirs, In reply to yours of the 19th. instant, we have examined with interest the drawing 11295 that you sent us. We do not quite see, however, how you insert the valve piece into the seating after manufacture. A further point is that, compared with our suggested scheme SCD.1224, the arrangement you sent us seems very complicated, and we should be very glad if you could let us have your comments on this, and what advantages you claim for your own design as against the R.R. scheme. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
