Gentlemen, We thank you for your letter of the 5th instant, and for your laboratory Report on the plating of the sample hub cap that was left by the writer. We regret to note that the quality of plating does not conform to your present standard and shall be obliged if you will let us have full information of the plating that is required, together with a description of the tests to which they must be passed. We ourselves test finished chromium plated caps in a salt spray for a test of 50 hours, and shall be glad to know whether this test is satisfactory or whether you also insist on a further test with the chrome removed. We confirm that we are going very carefully into your enquiry for hubs and hub caps and hope to forward our quotation to you within the next day or so, but we shall be glad if you could let us have particulars of the form of thread that you require, as discussed with the writer.
