X.4119 - IGNITION WIRING TUBES - STATIC INDUCTION EFFECTS. XS714

As referred to in our EFC1/T25.2.25. p.3..

we have now completed tests to ascertain whether the
length of gap jumped by the induced spark when both
ignitions are at work is greater than for one or either
ignitions only. Attached please find my assistant's
report WA.{Mr Wallis}112 from which it would appear to be very
definitely the case that there is increased probability
of wrong firing when both ignitions are working together.
