The first thermostat which we have made up with "Alumbro" bellows had the following temperature characteristics - Opening Temperature........75°C. Fully Open...............90°C. The composition of "Alumbro" is stated by I.C.I. to be as follows:- 76% Copper. 22% Zinc. 2% Aluminium. We are concerned to hear of the trouble which you have had with the motor rheostats, and when we have had an opportunity of examining these we will take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that the trouble does not recur.
