1293 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}8/MH.{M. Huckerby} 3rd. July, 1939. Messrs. Accles & Pollock Ltd., Oldbury, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, We are wanting to cast some steel tube into an iron (or possibly aluminium) casting to save reaming a long hole. The tube is to be 5/16" or 3/8" internal diameter and 6" long. Will you please say to what limits of accuracy you can hold the bores of these tubes, and what the outside diameters will be. Also are such tubes standard products. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
