Hancock - Head Chateauroux} (K) BY/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}9/MG.20.6.39 BRAKE LINERS We understand there are appreciable stocks of liners in Ferodo Bonded Asbestos, and that a decision is required as to whether a wholesale changeover to BZ on all types of liners should be made. In view of the encouraging results we have had from the use of BZ on the Bentley and 25/30 HP, we consider that it will pay us to change over to BZ on all earlier models as soon as possible, even if this entails a fair amount of scrap. We recommend, therefore, that where supplies of BZ liners of early type are already available, the existing stock of Brass Bonded liners should be scrapped ATD. In cases where you have inadequate supplies of BZ to meet Depot demands for liners for early models, it will be in order to continue using existing stocks of Brass Bonded liners until supplies of BZ are available. The foregoing applies to 20 HP., 20/25 HP., Phantom I and II. The use of BZ on 25/30 HP. and Bentley is already established, and the Phantom III should be replaced with ML.
