To: "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}", 1246. LEVALLOIS Sr22/Dnl.{Mr Dunwel}5.40 Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}", With regard to the remarks contained in your telegram re your permit for France, I cannot make any comment on this, as I do not know exactly what you have asked Blyth to do. Am I to understand that, pending the arrival of your permit, you are going to start your vacation in England, or that owing to the impossibility of obtaining the permit, there is nothing further to be done about it, and that you are going to spend the whole of your vacation in England? There is no doubt that you can obtain a permit to go to France, and if you will let me know what you have done in this respect, I will get Blyth on the phone from here, but it is difficult for me to discuss this matter with him until I know the facts. I should very much like to see you over here, as there are many matters we could discuss together, etc. Yours sincerely, | ||
