1021 18.2.41. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.1/RH.{R. Hollingworth} F.I. Connolly Esq., Messrs. Connolly Ltd., Wandal Bank, Wimbledon, LONDON. S.W. Dear Mr. Connolly, I was pleased to receive your letter of the 8th. and to hear that you have been looking up some of our friends in Birmingham and Coventry. If this was your first visit since the blow-out, I suppose you found that the landscape had been changed slightly. I am very thankful that I was away from Coventry, as our house in Warwick Avenue is looking somewhat dilapidated, and I should not like to have been in it when the alterations were being made. I am glad to hear that your works have not been so badly hit that productions have been seriously upset. Referring to the leather that you have sent for the model that we have in hand, I think this will do very nicely for the job and I am asking our Purchasing Department to send you our official order for this. Thank you for your offer to co-operate in developing upholstery for post-war market. At a later date, I shall probably be very glad of your assistance. Kindest regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
