This is to confirm a conversation in which I asked you to scheme what you consider to be the best arrangement of dashboard for the Myth. Three items that have to be taken care of are heater, battery and wireless. We have already discussed the possibility of putting the battery on the frame. If there is no difficulty about getting it on the dashboard we can abandon the frame scheme, provided that the necessary dashboard support to deal with the battery is not excessive. The wireless we can consider as a luxury, the heater as a necessity. We send you a drawing of the Smith heater, which we shall probably use. We have asked Childs to let you have particulars of the smallest wireless which he knows of, likely to give satisfaction. We have asked Green to let you have a cross section of the body at the dashboard. We appreciate that the dashboard is a piece of hardware that has to be shared between the body and the chassis, but consider that chassis design imposes more limitations on it than the body, and therefore the best way to start the job is to get a preliminary scheme acceptable to the chassis section. Any modifications to this scheme can then be proceeded with by mutual agreement. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
