1044 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/Vs.{J. Vickers} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}22.4.39. B.60 & B.80 EXHAUST VALVE SEATS. We should like to try some exhaust valve seats for the above units made in our own works in Nickel-Chrome-Molybdenum alloy (A.103 of memo RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/Vs.{J. Vickers}1/JT.9.8.38). The specifications for B.60 Nos. 5 and 6 and B.80 Nos. 5 and 6 units call for the seats cut direct in the cylinder block, i.e. no inserts, and would like to incorporate half the cylinders of each of these units with the above special seats. Loose inserted seats have up to the present been supplied by Brico in Brichrome material. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
