BENTLEY CHASSIS 57-KW.

As you are aware, BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has agreed to the release of the A.C.6. connecting rod bearings for the above chassis, which were submitted to him for approval when blowholes were observed in the bore.

In view of the fact that these bearings are shortly to be standardised for Production, and since we machined, in all, three sets of bearings and failed to produce a complete set free from defects, we consider the necessary steps should be taken immediately to obviate similar difficulties when this alloy is placed on Production.
