10th. June 1932.

Dear Mr. Hives.

As you may be aware I am relinquishing my position as Manager of the Manufacturers Division at the end of June. I can never forget the cordial relations which have prevailed between your Company and myself for so many years and it is my earnest hope that the good feeling existing between the two Companies may long continue.

Whilst saying Good-bye to my many good friends in the Motor Car Industry, I feel sure that you will be glad to know that I am not entirely severing my connection with the Dunlop Company as I am retained in a part-time capacity in order to continue the liaison work which it has been my privilege to establish with the Services.

I shall continue to watch with interest the future progress and development of the Motor Car Industry, and wishing you a happy issue out of all the afflictions which have been brought upon us by the world depression of these days,

I am,

Yours sincerely.,

[Signature]

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives Esq.
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.
DERBY.
