-2- may be used forward and silent ones backward. here is one of the best gears - i.e. internal and external :- SEE ORIGINAL FOR SKETCH. I am not sure that I got this scheme so simple before. Will Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Rg.{Mr Rowledge} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} say whether they think it is worth trying. I do not know that it has any real defects more than the ratchets one of which we have. You will remember that up to now I have put my faith in getting help backwards from long self-servoing shoes, but if these fail we want something more than we, and Hispano, will have with the slow speed servo. Such a scheme as this gives perfect action, and does not look involved, - i.e. it is easily understood by non-technical owners and chauffeurs. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
