Dear Sirs,

Re: BENTLEY 5 - PRODUCTION.

We have given very careful consideration to the question of what parts of the complete car it would be desirable to ask you to produce for Bentley 5 on production, over and above those you have normally supplied as part of the coachwork.

It is to be clearly understood that the cost of obtaining and fitting these parts is not to be included in the complete body price, but is to be charged up to us as a separate item.

(1). Bonnet Top and Side Plates.
We think it is desirable that you should obtain the bonnet top and side plates formed to our details from Motor Body Panels, because you will finally have to agree to their accuracy of shape and quality of finish. Furthermore, as they are in steel you will be able to anti-rust treat them immediately after cutting and fitting. We shall supply to you the necessary hinges, catches, clips etc. Details of the final top and side panels will be sent to you as soon as they are ready, which will be towards the end of next week.

(2). Front Apron.
We believe we have already asked you to quote for the front apron supplied to you to our design by Messrs. Motor Body Panels. We wish you to be responsible for the production of this piece at the price which you quoted.ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} i.e. 5/9d. without tools, see your letter of 8th December 1938.

(3). Centre Floor Board.
