Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd.,
Well Street,
Birmingham, 19.

Dear Sirs,

We have had several occasions on our chassis where the small chromium plated grooved nuts on the front of the horn have worked loose, due to insufficient locking. It appears to us that it is necessary not only to put a spring washer behind the head of the bolt at the back, but also underneath this nut.

We should be glad if you would immediately consider some prevention for these nuts working loose, and in the meantime in order to replace those that we have lost on the road will you please send us two (2) dozen of these nuts, one dozen with the large thread and one dozen with the small thread. We send you herewith a sample of the nut in question.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
